Seriously - has it already been 4 months? In some ways it feels like Claire was just born while at the same time I can't imagine what we did without her! She is still being a really good baby for us. Her transition to the new daycare went really well. The ladies love her! They always tell me that Daddy never wants to leave her in the morning and they send home the cutest little notes at the end of the day - sweetest little angel, always happy, my baby needs more clothes, or more commonly I hear my baby needs more milk mommy, more milk! Maybe Claire has been going through a growth spurt but it appears she is eating more. We are up to 6 oz at a feeding and that might go up again soon. And if it does we might have to start supplementing with formula because I have a hard enough time keeping up now! We will see what happens when we go back to the doctor on November 3rd.
Claire's little personality is really shining through now. Daycare always tells us that she loves to smile and I love to see that little smile when I go to pick her up in the afternoon. She is very playful now and a lot more interactive. Her tummy time exercises are getting better. I have a video, but for some reason I can't post it right now. She has rolled over a few times already and even showed off this talent for Grandma, Sara, and Patrick this weekend.
I often wonder how we made it through the first 5 weeks without a pacifier because this girl loves sucking on anything! In her bouncy seat she pulls all of the attachments into her mouth. Forget sucking her thumb - she now goes for a few fingers or her whole hand. Remember how Andrea used to suck her fingers?? Well, Claire does the same thing except with her two middle fingers! This winter should be interesting since she pulls saliva all over her face and into her hair. She is still a peanut and, yes, we are still wearing 0-3 month clothes. Who would've thought....
We haven't decided what Claire is going to be for Halloween yet. We will be in Massachusetts that night, so be on the lookout for a familiar trick or treater!
I'm done rambling....back to work!Comments:Add a comment:

Well, we finally did it - we hit double digits! We had our doctors appt Friday afternoon and she weighed in at 10lb 2 oz (in a sweatsuit I might add!). So, we have a tall (23.5 inches) skinny baby with a little head (39cm). Maybe this is why I can't fit her in some 0-3 month pants! :-) The doctor didn't seem too concerned about Claires weight when I told her how much she is eating during the day. However, she did say that if we haven't hit the 12lb mark by our next appointment, then we will start introducing solid foods as an alternative!?!?!?!?!
Just this week, daycare let me know that Claire needs more milk in her bottles. She has been taking 4 oz, so we just sent an extra bottle yesterday and they said she took 6oz in the AM and 5oz around noon. Gail - thanks for the suggestion - two days this week I called to have them hold her last feed until I got home!
Next Monday we are starting at a new daycare - yes, already! We like where we are now, but we were on a waiting list at the one we really wanted and they called saying they had a spot open. So, we gave our notice where we are and make the move next Monday (actually, Tuesday since Monday is a holiday!) to a new daycare. It is a little farther away - it is exactly 198 of my itty bitty steps door to door. Oh, the benefits of city life.
Thanks for checking in with us!Comments:Becky: Glad you could get in the daycare you want! 198 steps? really? did you count that? I looked back at Gretchen's monthly info and she went from 11 lbs to 14.6 lbs between 2 and 4 months. and her head was only 40 cm at 4 months. Her head went down to the 4th percentile at 10 months and is back up to 20th percen. at her year appt... Must be the Snider gene...something about small heads... I don't know, cause Dave's got a melon!Add a comment:

I finally added new pictures. They are in the Visit to SC folder, but they are all recent pictures. We are having fun with our new camera.
