Either I was really excited or nervous leading up to the big ultrasound because last night I slept like a baby...no waking up in the middle of the night. Let's hope that trend continues for a little while!

Exciting news....we're having a girl! We had the ultrasound scheduled for 4:30 and I think 3:30 to 4:30 was the longest hour ever! Dan and I had to drive around Hoboken just to kill the time. But the ultrasound started right at 4:30 and within minutes the tech asked if we wanted to know the sex of the baby....of course! We were so excited to find out we are having a little girl! You know what that means? No more LDS....Dan has now changed to CHS (Cheryl Hines Snider), once again from Curb Your Enthusiasm! Now we just need to come up with a real name.

Everything measured out great, right on target at 19 weeks. It is really insane to see the pictures from the ultrasound. We saw hands, feet, head, spine, four chambers of the heart - you name it! We also found out that she is stubborn like her daddy. The techs have to take a ton of pictures for measurements and the little girl would not flip over for the last measurements. They had me go to the bathroom, eat chocolate, and then drink more water and nothing worked! I think she was just being stubborn so that her mommy could go back next week to see her again...no complaints here. Of the 80 pictures the tech took, she was missing 3 measurements so I am scheduled for another ultrasound next Thursday.

Thanks everyone for the calls today.....I know we didn't get to call everyone as quickly as we would have liked, but we had dinner plans and had to rush out to the city. Enjoy the new pictures of the little girl - Mommy and Daddy are soooooo excited!

Well, Dan and I just returned from our doctors appointment. The doctor said everything looks good and he measured the heart rate at 150 BPM - nice and strong! Last time it was 156 BPM so for all of those that believe the heart rate determines the sex of the baby, you have until Tuesday to make a guess. As far as weight goes, I was up 6 lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight. It probably doesn't help that I just got back from a 10 day food fest, but that is OK - I am heading back to spin class in 2 hours!! As far as where the weight is going, I am not so sure. People at work keep asking me if I am sure that I am pregnant because I don't even have a bump yet (there is a picture in the new album if you want to decide for yourself!). Other than that, Dan and I are waiting for the big appointment on Tuesday. Check back for more updates!

So, anyone want a job as a nanny? Who would've thought that the waiting list for day cares would be about a year long...are they kidding? I didn't think we would have to start looking before we got pregnant! We now have our name on a few different lists and we will see what pans out. I'm just hoping they tell you the wait is longer than it really is.

Other than that, all is quiet on the home front. I am working to put together my final thesis which is due on MONDAY! My Masters Degree will be conferred in February and maybe I can actually walk (mostlikely waddle) across stage on May 28th!

LDS will be making his/her first trip to Puerto Rico next Saturday. We are spending 10 days with my parents and sisters relaxing at Dorado Beach. The only down side to this is I am not so sure that my summer clothes are going to fit. Thanks to Becky sending up some clothes, I have a few things to wear while we are there. There should be plenty of pictures to post once we get back!
